Welcome to the Student Success in Action Modules

The words "Student Success" are what this online module system is all about. The advisors in 304 White Hall care about your academic career - we want you to succeed - and these modules are designed to help you on your journey.

You will be taken through a series of modules, or lessons. There are a total of six modules, with a quiz at the end of five of the modules (there are questions to ponder at the end of the sixth). Here is an outline of the six modules you will view:

  1. Being on probation - what does that mean exactly?
  2. What is academic advising and why is it so important?
  3. What is the Grade Forgiveness Policy?
  4. What resources are available to help?
  5. What happened? How did I end up on probation?
  6. Where do I go from here?
A few words about the quizzes: The quizzes each have 5 questions total, which are based on the module you just viewed. At the end of answering the quiz questions, the quiz will be graded for you so that you can immediately see what questions you answered correctly and incorrectly. In most cases, there is a "reference" attached to each question, so that if you got a particular question wrong, you can click on "reference" and that will take you to the part of the module that contains the correct answer. The quiz must be taken and a passing score of 70% must be attained in order to proceed to the next module.

These modules need to be completed in one sitting. If you do stop and then try to resume at a later time, you will start at the very beginning again. In other words, before you start, make sure you have enough time to complete everything (please allow 30-60 minutes).

Hopefully, you will find these modules informative and a fun way to engage in learning! Now, GET STARTED!
